Function
- probable adapter protein
- binds & organizes subcellular localization of membrane proteins containing some PDZ recognition sequence
- role in clustering of receptors, possibly by acting at the receptor internalization level
- may be regulated upon PRKCA activation
- may regulate ACCN3-ACCN2 heteromeric cation channel
- interacts presynaptically with:
- monoamine transporters SLC6A2 & SLC6A3
- channel proteins ACCN1 & ACCN2
- GTP-binding proteins ARF1 & ARF3
- interacts with PRKCA
- interacts with the ephrin receptor tyrosine kinases EPHA7, EPHB1 & EPHB2
- interacts with ERBB2
- interacts with BTG2
- interacts with the glutamate receptors GRIA2, GRIA3
- interacts with GRM4 (isoform A), GRM7 & GRM8
- interacts with NAPA & NAPB; interaction with NAPA & NAPB disrupts the interaction with GRIA2 & its internalization
- interacts with UNC5A
- interacts with CXADR
- interacts through its PDZ domain with the C-terminal tail of PRLHR
- interacts (via AH domain) with NCS1/FREQ (Ca+2-dependent)
Structure
- monomer & homodimer
- contains 1 AH domain
- contains 1 PDZ domain (DHR domain)
Compartment
- cytoplasm, perinuclear region
- cell junction, synapse
- present at excitatory synapses
