Introduction
Tradename: PBZ. (tripelennamine hydrochloride or citrate)
Indications
Contraindications
- narrow-angle glaucoma
- bladder neck obstruction
- symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy
- stenosing peptic ulcer
Dosage
- adults
- infants & children
- 5 mg/kg/day in 4-6 divided doses
- maximum: 300 mg/day
Tabs: 50 mg.
Extended release: 100 mg.
Adverse effects
- common (> 10%)
- drowsiness (slight to moderate)
- thickening of bronchial secretions
- less common (1-10%)
- uncommon (< 1%)
