* only polyethylene glycol, bisacodyl, sodium picosulfate, linaclotide, plecanatide & prucalopride with strong evidence of efficacy[1]

Indications

Complications

  • regular laxative use associated with increased risk of all-cause dementia, especially with use of multiple laxative types or osmotic laxative[2]
