Function
- CD27L is the ligand for CD27
- role in T-cell activation
- induces proliferation of costimulated T-cells
- enhances generation of cytolytic T-cells
- in connection with fasL & CD27L on the surface of Th1 cells, & MHC class 1 antigen complex on Ag-presenting cells, fas, CD27 & the T-cell receptor stimulate cytotoxic T-cell maturation[3]
Structure
- homotrimer (probable)
- belongs to the tumor necrosis factor family
Compartment
- membrane; single-pass type 2 membrane protein
Expression
- activated B & T cells
- expressed on T helper-1 cells (Th1)
- Reed-Sternberg cells
