Introduction
Diminished secretion of aldosterone.
Etiology
Laboratory
- plasma aldosterone low
- plasma 18-hydroxycorticosterone* (low, normal or high)
- serum sodium (hyponatremia)
- serum potassium (hyperkalemia)
* immediate precursor of aldosterone
