Introduction

Indications
- seasonal allergic rhinitis
- urticaria
Contraindications
- narrow-angle glaucoma
- bladder neck obstruction
- symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy
- stenosing peptic ulcer
- concurrent MAO inhibitor therapy
Caution: patients with hypertension
Dosage
Tablets: carbinoxamine maleate 4 mg + pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mL
Syrup: carbinoxamine maleate 4 mg + pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mL/5mL (240 mL)
Adverse effects
- common (> 10%)
- drowsiness
- thickening of bronchial secretions
- less common (1-10%)
- uncommon (< 1%)
