- may slow cognitive decline in patients with dementia
- effect is small & of unknown clinical significance
- hypertension
- diabetic nephropathy
- nondiabetic proteinuric nephropathy
- chronic heart failure
- myocardial infarction
- left ventricular diastolic dysfunction
- scleroderma, scleroderma renal crisis
- migraine prophylaxis
- ischemic stroke
- cystinuria, cysteine renal calculi
