Introduction

Indications
- hypertension
- heart failure
- diabetic nephropathy, nondiabetic proteinuric nephropathy
- atherosclerosis[2]
Dosage
Tabs: 2, 4 & 8 mg.
Mechanism of action
- see ACE inhibitor
- may prevent progression of atherosclerosis (8 mg/day)[2]
- treating 50 patients for 4 years seems to prevent 1 major cardiovascular event[2]
