Indications
- bacterial infections due to susceptible organisms
- alternative to ceftriaxone or Zosyn for:
- sepsis[2]
- community-acquired pneumonia caused by:
- penicillin-sensitive Streptococcus pneumonia
- Haemophilus influenzae
- beta-lactamase negative
- prophylaxis for perioperative infection
