- induces megakaryocyte maturation resulting in increased platelet production[7]
- IL-11/IL-11R signaling enhances osteoblast differentiation & bone formation & mitigates osteoclast-induced bone resorption & cancer bone metastasis[5]

- in mice, IL-11 is upregulated with aging across cell types & tissues to regulate an ERK-AMPK-mTORC1 axis involved in inflammation[2]
