- associates with OSMR to form the interleukin-31 receptor which activates STAT3 & to a lower extent STAT1 & STAT5
- may function in skin immunity
- heterodimer with OSMR
- interacts with JAK1 & STAT3

- up-regulated by IFNG & lipopolysaccharides
Pathology
- up-regulated in lesional keratinocytes of patients with atopic dermatitis
