Function
- stimulates the production of other cytokines, including IL-6, IL-8 & GCSF
- regulation of cartilage matrix turnover
- stimulates monocyte & T-cell proliferation
- inhibits angiogenesis.

- expressed in activated, but not resting, CD4+ T-cells & activated monocytes
Pathology
- defects in IL17F are the cause of familial candidiasis type 6
