Expression

• isoform 1, 3 & 5 are ubiquitous
• isoform 2 is strongly expressed in the brain, weakly expressed in lung & colon
• isoform 4 is not detected in normal tissues
• expressed at high level during early embryogenesis

Pathology

• isoform 2 overexpressed in gastric cancer
• isoform 4 is not detected in normal tissues, but strong expression found in gastric cancers
• down-regulated in a subset of cases of breast cancer
