Indications
- treatment of alopecia areata in adults & adolecents >= 12 years
Contraindications
- use in combination with other JAK inhibitors, immunosuppressants, cyclosporine, biologic immunmodulators
- rheumatoid arthritis (highe mortality vs TNF-alpha inhibitor)
Dosage
- 50 mg orally once daily.
Adverse effects
- venous thromboembolism
- arterial thromboembolism
- headache, diarrhea, acne, rash, urticaria, folliculitis, pyrexia
- atopic dermatitis, dizziness, increased serum creatine phosphokinase, herpes zoster, anemia, stomatitis
* Warnings:
- serious infection, malignancy, major cardiovascular events, thrombosis, death
- drug adverse effects of tyrosine kinase inhibitor(s)
- drug adverse effects of janus kinase inhibitors
