Etiology

Diagnostic procedures
- ulcer can be seen with fluorescein dye
Complications
- corneal ulcers can erode through the corneal stroma, exposing Descemet's membrane (descemetocele) & cause corneal perforation & permanent visual loss[3]
Management
- immediate referral to ophthalmology (see keratitis)
