Indications
Complications
- bacterial keratitis
- fungal keratitis
- Fusarium, Aspergillus, & Candida cause the great majority of fungal keratitis
- Fusarium solani is the species implicated in a recent incidence of contact lens wearers experiencing a fungal keratitis
- corneal ulcer
Management
- wash hands with soap & water prior to handling lenses
- clean lens case after each use
- replace lens case after 3-6 months
- remove contact lens overnight[3]
