Etiology

• progressive corneal thinning
• eye surgery
  • postoperative infections

Diagnostic procedures

• Seidel test

Treatment:

• tissue adhesive can be used to seal small perforation (< 1 mm)
• non-infected corneal perforation generally heals when a pressure bandage is used
• lamellar keratoplasty
