Pathology
- persistence of sinus venosus associated with atrial septal defect
- occurs in superior portion of atrial septum
- often associated with anomalous pulmonary veins
- generally upper right pulmonary vein
- drainage into the right atrium
Diagnostic procedures
- echocardiography
- right ventricular volume overload
- no ostium secundum defect
- electrocardiogram: abnormal p axis
