Indications

• plantar warts
• condylomata acuminata (anogenital warts)
• laryngeal papillomatosis
• keratoderma

Contraindications

• cervical, urethral or oral warts
• diabetes mellitus
• poor circulation
• pregnancy

25% resin solution.

Topical agent: applied weekly BY PHYSICIAN.

Adverse effects

• not common (1-10%)
  • nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, pruritus
• uncommon (< 1%)
  • confusion, lethargy, hallucination, peripheral neuropathy, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, hepatotoxicity, renal failure
• other
  • systemic absorption may result in adverse effects when large areas of skin are exposed to podophyllin
  • seizures
  • coma
