AML-M0; acute myeloblastic leukemia minimally differentiated

Epidemiology

• ~2% of AML cases
• usually older men

Microscopic pathology

• nongranular myeloblasts, may resemble lymphoblasts

Immunophenotype

• CD13, CD33, TdT, CD2, CD4, CD7, CD71 positive
• myeloperoxidase variable
• CD14, CD36, CD64 mostly negative
• CD41, CD61, glycophorin A & most lymphocyte antigens negative
