- role in cell shape modulation (spreading) & motility
- role in regulation of filamin-mediated cross-linking & stabilization of actin filaments
- regulates assembly of filamin-containing signaling complexes that control actin assembly
- isoforms 1 & 3 interact with PLEKHC1, FLNA & FLNC
- isoform 2 interacts with FLNB
- interacts with NKX2-5
