Function
- transcription factor
- role in regulation of cell survival, proliferation, & differentiation
- transactivates expression of the CLU gene
- component of the DREAM complex
- phosphorylated by cyclin A/CDK2 during S-phase
- phosphorylation at Thr-520 is probably involved in transcriptional activity
- B-myb expression is required for cells to traverse the G1/S boundary[3]
- induction at G1/S boundary is regulated by release from E2F-mediated transcriptional repression
Structure
contains 3 HTH myb-type DNA-binding domains
Compartment
Expression
ubiquitously expressed
Notes
short 1/2 life
