• involved in the control of early morphogenesis & patterning of both axial midline structures & the development of neural plate
• role in regulation of planar cell polarity, particularly in orientation of stereociliary bundles in cochlea
• polarization & movement of myocardializing cells in outflow tract via RHOA
• interacts through its C-terminal region with the N-terminal half of DVL1, DVL2, DVL3 via PDZ domain of DVL1, DVL2, DVL3
• interacts with the PDZ domains of SCRIB/SCRB1 & FZD3
