• very weak activator of ADP-ribosyltransferase (putative)
• can activate phospholipase D with very low efficiency
• role in normal function of the Golgi
• GTP-bound form interacts with GOLGA1 & POR1
• interacts with SCOC
• GTP-bound form interacts with GOLGA4

Expression

• detected in heart, liver, lung & liver (at protein level)
• detected in fetal heart, lung, liver & kidney
• detected in adult heart, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney & pancreas

Pathology

• very low efficiency as allosteric activator of the cholera toxin catalytic subunit
