Etiology
- dementia, especially Pick's disease
- Kluver-Bucy syndrome
Clinical manifestations
- alcoholism,
- hyperreligiosity
- inappropriate sexual behavior
- excessive eating
- shoplifting
Management
- sexual disinhibition
- gabapentin may be useful[1]
- sertraline 25-100 mg QD may reduce libido
- clomipramine 25-100 mg QD if obsessive behavior
- progesterone start 5 mg PO QD
- leuprolide 5-10 mg IM monthly if behavior improves with progesterone
