Indications
- in combination with probenecid to treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections due to certain bacteria in women with limited or no alternative oral antibacterial treatment options
Contraindications
- blood dyscrasias
- uric acid kidney stones
Dosage
oral twice daily for 5 days
Antimicrobial activity
Adverse effects
- diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, vulvovaginal yease infection, headache
- Clostridioides difficile colitis
Drug interactions
- drug interaction(s) anticonvulsants with anti-bacterial agents
- drug interaction(s) of antibiotics with warfarin
