- GSK-3 inhibitor delivery for amyloid-beta plaque reduction in patients with Alzheimer's disease
Mechanism of action
- increases drug availability by making the blood-barrier more porous
- allows larger molecules to cross the blood-brain barrier
- activates microglia, thus lessening amyloid accumulation
