Dosage
- 80-1050 mg/day
Adverse effects
- appears to be well tolerated with no significant side effects
- products with caffeine may have adverse effects related to caffeine
- as an industrial agent, may be a cause of asthma (see industrial agents that can cause asthma)
Mechanism of action
- active ingredient is hypothesized to be chlorogenic acid, a polyphenol with antioxidant properties
