Etiology
- directed against myeloperoxidase
- Churg-Strauss syndrome (60-70%)
- microscopic polyangiitis (75-80%)
- idiopathic crescentic glomerulonephritis (80%)
- polyarteritis nodosa[3][4]
- Wegener's granulomatosis (20%)
- directed against leukocyte elastase, lactoferrin
- vasculitis
- primary sclerosing cholangitis (60-85%)
- ulcerative colitis (60-75%)
- primary biliary cirrhosis (30-40%)
- rheumatoid arthritis
- with Felty's syndrome (90-100%)
- with vasculitis (50-75%)
- uncomplicated (20-40%)
- systemic lupus erythematosus (25%)
- drug-induced lupus erythematosus
- 5% of normal subjects
- p-ANCA may also be positive in:
- autoimmune chronic hepatitis
- hepatitis C
- sulfasalazine toxicity
- Crohn's disease (10-20%)
- juvenile chronic polyarthritis (10-20%)
- ankylosing spondylitis (10-20%)
- psoriatic arthritis (10-20%)
