• role in determining whether cells allocated to pancreatic buds continue towards pancreatic organogenesis or revert to duodenal development
• maintenance of exocrine pancreas-specific gene expression including ELA1 & amylase
• formation of pancreatic acinar & ductal cells
• role in cerebellar development
