Function
- DNA helicase
- modulates androgen receptor (AR)-dependent transactivation (promoter-dependent)
- not able to remodel mononucleosomes in vitro (putative)
- interacts with AR via its N-terminus
- interacts with DYRK1A
- binds DNA & mononucleosomes, but does not seem to form large multiprotein complexes (putative)
- enzyme activity is enhanced by dsDNA (double-stranded DNA) & ssDNA (single-stranded DNA) (putative)
- sumoylated (putative)
- phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR
Structure
- Leu-Xaa-Xaa-Leu-Leu (LXXLL) motifs are known to be important for the association with nuclear receptors
- belongs to the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family
- contains 1 helicase ATP-binding domain
- contains 1 helicase C-terminal domain
