- role in transcriptional repression of cholesterol 7-alpha-hydroxylase (CYP7A1 (rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis)
- probably inactive as a glycosidase
- coreceptors for endocrine FGFs, FGF19 & FGF21
