Expression
- expressed in heart, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle & pancreas
- not expressed in brain
- up-regulated by LPS
Pathology
- barely expressed in most tumor cell lines, but upregulated in some cancer cells, inlcuding
- breast adenocarcinoma MCF-7 cells & U251 cells
- promyelocytic leukemia cells (HL-60) or
- myelomonocytic leukemia cells (U-937)
