• required for regulation of alternative splicing of MAPT/TAU
• regulates alternative splicing of tissue factor (F3) pre-mRNA in endothelial cells
• TG003 inhibits its kinase activity & affects regulation of alternative splicing mediated by phosphorylation of Ser & Arg-rich proteins (putative)
• autophosphorylates on Ser, Thr & Tyr
• interacts with UBL5
