• binds GTP, the GTP-bound form of RRAGA interacts with NOL8
• may shuttle between the cytoplasm & nucleus, depending on the bound nucleotide state
• homodimer, heterodimer with RRAGC or RRAGD

Expression

• ubiquitously expressed
• highest levels in skeletal muscle, heart, brain

Pathology

• cellular target for adenovirus E3-14.7 kD protein, an inhibitor of TNF-alpha
• colocalizes in vivo with adenovirus E3-14.7 kD protein mainly near nuclear membrane & discrete foci near plasma membrane
