Function

• probable RNA helicase
• required for RNA-mediated gene silencing by the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC)
• required for both miRNA-mediated translational repression & miRNA-mediated cleavage of complementary mRNAs by RISC
• phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR
• interacts with DICER1, EIF2C1/AGO1, EIF2C2/AGO2, EIF6 & TARBP2
• associates with the 60S ribosome
