Etiology
- Cushing's disease
- obesity (striae distensae)
- potent topical glucocorticoids (striae distensae)
- lichen planus (Wickham's striae)
- pregnancy (striae gravidarum)
Clinical manifestations
- linear marks on the skin
- in patients with Cushing's disease, the striae are stretch marks, wider & more likely to be purple than in purely obese patients with striae distensae
