pregnancy

Epidemiology

90% of pregnant women by the 3rd trimester

Clinical manifestations

red, pink, or purple depressed atrophic streaks distributed in areas of adipose tissue (abdomen, buttocks, breasts, thighs)
regression after delivery
residual white streaks remain (striae albicantes)
