Introduction
The central part of the body between the thorax & the pelvis.
The diaphragm marks the upper boundary of the abdomen.
The lower boundary is defined by the upper border of the pelvis.
The abdomen contains the stomach, small intestine & large intestine, liver, gallbladder & biliary tree, pancreas, spleen & kidneys.
