- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- asthma
- bronchiectasis
- cystic fibrosis
- bronchiolitis
- bullous lung disease
- airway stenosis
Complications
- increased work of breathing due to increased airway resistance & air trapping, combined with increased ventilatory demands may lead to respiratory failure[2]
Management
- hypoxia due to obstructive lung disease is generally responsive to oxygen
