Etiology

Clinical manifestations

  • inappropriate verbal or motor behaviors
  • excessive motor activity associated with a feeling of inner tension
  • the activity is generally repititious & non-productive
  • examples of such activity include:
    • pacing
    • figediting
    • wringing of hands
    • pulling of clothes
    • inability to sit still
