Introduction
DSM IV criteria:
- memory impairment
- one or more of the following
- aphasia
- apraxia
- agnosia
- impairment of executive function
- deficits cause impairment in social or occupational function & represent a decline from a previous level of function
- focal neurologic signs & symptoms
- laboratory/radiology evidence of cerebrovascular disease
- deficits occur in the absence of delirium
