Pharmacology

association between epilepsy & cardiovascular events in elderly largely due to enzyme-inducing anticonvulsants ^[1]
- strong enzyme-inducing anticonvulsants include:
  - carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, & primidone
- weak enzyme-inducing anticonvulsants include:
  - oxcarbazepine, eslicarbazepine, topiramate, & rufinamide
