Structure
- disulfide-linked dimers of hyperphosphorylated tau, linked through the microtubule binding domain, & oriented in an antiparallel fashion form paired helical filaments
- one of 2 configurations with 2 intermolecular disulfide bonds (C291 .. C291 & C322 .. C322)
- the Cys positions differ from those identified in the full-length protein presumbably due to splicing differences.
