Introduction

Toy gun. Shoots non-lethal projectiles.

Complications

• eye injuries resulting from Nerf projectile guns
  • injuries result from being shot at a distance of < 8 meters
  • hyphema (all eye injuries)
  • uveitis
  • corneal edema
  • anterior uveitis
  • injury to the outer retinal layers

Management

• dexamethasone ophthalmic & cyclopentolate ophthalmic
• injuries resolve within weeks
