Indications
- growth hormone deficiency in the elderly
- may have beneficial effect on some cognitive measures in both normal elderly and those with amnestic MCI (mild cognitive impairment)[3]
Dosage
14 ug/kg SC QHS (long-acting GHRH)

Mechanism of action
- induces growth hormone release from pitituary somatotrophs
- less effective than growth hormone
- probably safe
- may have beneficial effect on cognitive function
