Introduction

Epidemiology
- exposure to CS2 & H2S in rayon & cellophane industries
- exposure in industries producing pesticides & rubber chemicals
- injury through inhalation
Adverse effects
- nausea, vomiting
- dizziness
- fatigue
- headache
- mood changes
- lethargy
- blurred vision
- delirium
- convulsions
- blisters & eczematous lesions from contact with liquid
- behavioral changes, reduced nerve conduction velocity, peripheral neuropathy (polyneuropathy) have been observed in chronically exposed workers[3]
- increased risk of cardiovascular disease[3]
