Etiology
- most often results from improper or lack of eye protection while working in an environment with small flying debris
- case report of eye foreign body from swimming through school of fish[2]*

Clinical manifestations
- ocular foreign body sensation
- eye pain may be present
- hemorrhage may be associated with penetrating injury
Management
- eye wash
- removal of foreign body
- seek medical attention for
- larger foreign bodies
- metal pieces
- penetrating injury
- do not put pressure on the injured eye
