Mechanism of action
- structurally similar to capsaicin from hot pepppers & synephrine from citrus
- increases lipolysis in mice fed high-fat diet
- may increase expression of adiponectin
- may inhibit fructose-associated fat accumulation
- may inhibit fat absorption via reduction of pancreatic lipase activity
