Introduction
A sheet or band of fibrous tissue that support organs & hold them in place.
Fascia is found in two regions:
- Superficial fascia:
- the continuous sheet of tissue that underlies the skin & contains adipose tissue to insulate & protect the skin.
- Deep fascia:
- covers, separates & protects skeletal muscles.
